Christine Pellegrino for New York State Senate
Christine has been public school teacher in Baldwin for 25 years, a strong advocate for public education, & a champion of the Long Island opt-out movement. She’s been an active organizer in her teachers union and wants to bring this passion to Albany to ensure the continued support for our schools!
Christine Pellegrino is a former member of the New York State Assembly from the 9th District. In her first term representing the 9th District, Pellegrino secured various state grants for school districts, public libraries, and clean drinking water. As a member of the Assembly Committee on Environmental Conservation and Chair of the Legislative Commission on Toxic Substances and Hazardous Waste, she strongly opposed offshore drilling and supported clean-up projects by the NYS Department of Environmental Conservation.
“Christine Pellegrino is the progressive champion we need to represent our community in the State Senate to fight for gun safety and to protect our communities. A mother, a teacher, and a dedicated public servant, Christine can be trusted to do the right thing. We are proud to support her. “
